We MUST have Functional and Ethical Government!

I've spent my career working on complex projects, engaged with a huge variety of people, served on HOA boards, nonprofit boards. I know a functional team when I see it and this team needs some work. I will work not only in the interest of District 19 but also in the interests of the county as a whole.

I am a professional, I take my work seriously. I am a person of integrity. I do what I say I will do, unless something exceptional happens, and I will explain why in an honest way.

I believe in diversity, equity and inclusion. These are not dirty words, nor should they trigger a negative emotion. Everyone in this country needs an opportunity to be included, no matter their religion, color, gender identity, or their haircut or tattoos or their spoken accent. We are a diverse community of people.

Here is a short list of dysfunction in the County Commission:

• County Mayor Joe Carr ethics investigations - his behavior is at best unprofessional, at worst criminal.
• The application, nomination and voting process for citizen committee participation is questionable.
• I believe many elected officials have conflicts of interest. I have none except being a resident.
• If I am elected, my constituents will know what I'm thinking about. The deals made behind closed doors by the good ole boy network should come to an end.
